"This Year" Update #2

Well, I am going to try this again.  I have written this two times before, and when I went to change the font, it disappeared.  The second time I hit save before I tried to change the fonts, but it was still gone.  Bummers.  This time I will publish it and then edit it to change the fonts and see if that works.  I know, you are just thrilled with this rant - sorry!

My story is that I am very pleased with my progress in cleaning and organizing my craft room.  I am pretty much finished with the cleaning with just some stuff that needs to be taken downstairs still to be done.  I am unable to go up and down stairs very often, so that will take a while, but that is okay!

I wanted to show you my nice new cubes that DH and I put together last weekend all full of goodies now.  Mostly, it has fabric  - both aida and finishing fabric.  The big horizontal shelves and the plastic boxes on top of the sewing machine are full of aida.  I had no idea that I had so much of it.  I have enough to do anything I want for as long as I want - LOL!  The little horizontal shelves and the three drawer cube are filled with finishing fabric.  Here, too, I have more than plenty.  The four drawer cube holds by overdyed floss.  Shelleen, do you see your piece hanging on the left side of the cubes?

I believe that I told you that I was going to show you how nice the DMC floss boxes looked in their bookcase.  The white binders in the shelf above the floss boxes are as yet empty.  Someone gave them to me when she was downsizing her office.  I plan to put charts of those designers that I collect lots of like Lizzie*Kate.  I also want to use some of them for the freebie charts that I have downloaded from the net over the years.  That will be done as I am going through the inventory process which I have started, but is going to take quite a while.  There too, I have waayyy too many.   Does this mean that I am going to stop purchasing more charts? Of course not, there are more coming from Down Sunshine Lane as I speak - LOL!  The shelf above the binders has my overdyed floss brands that I don't have much of in floss away bags.  Above them are my ribbons and cords.    I am really happy with the way they are organized now.  The question is, can I keep them that way?

Now,while I am happy that I have pretty much cleaned up the craft room, it did cause me to have some issues. Well, not issues, but UFOs.  I found some more UFOs that I didn't remember having - not just a few, but 14 more!!  They are cross stitch, needlepoint, knitting and crocheting in all stages of completion.  I have some cross stitch ornaments that just need a few stitches to be done.  I haven't a clue why I didn't finish them, but....  Not counted in this 14 were several ornaments  that I had finished stitching but hadn't finish finished them.  I really didn't think I had any of those.  Hete is the stack of project bags that they created.  Tomorrow or Monday when I post my official Full Moon WIPocalypse report, I will add these to my list.  It will be good to some extent, because I will have some on the list that I will be able to finish fairly quickly unlike most of the UFOs,

Well, if you made it down this far, I am impressed and grateful!  Thank you so much for visiting my little blog and for leaving such lovely comments.  Until next time, have a happy, healthy, stitchy time!

Wow Beth looks great. Now if you want something you won't be able to find it cause it will be organized neatly haha. Seriously won't it be fantastic to know right where to go. I bet it was fun playing with all that stash too.

Looks great Beth. Glad to find someone else that enjoys stitching on aida. Everytime I organize takes me weeks to find what I'm looking for. I just call it a gray moment. lol

Wonderful job, Beth--how nice to have everything newly organized! The ribbon storage is wonderful...I need to figure out something to do with mine--they are "taking over" my house!!

Your craft room loks so tidy. My little room stays tidy for about 30 minutes as I end up working in it and making it messy. But it is fun tidying stash and finding treasures that you had forgotten about.

Well done on your cleanup! I have some of those craft boxes too and I just love them. My problem is that once I take something out of them it doesn't always get put back in them!
