Winter Wonderland Shots

Well, it might have been a pain to be out of power all that long, but it sure made some stunning pictures. This is a picture from our back deck.

Our next door neighbor had a lovely row of poplar trees dividing our properties - they are not quite so pretty now. And to top things off- we have a huge dead pine tree in our backyard that our nephew has said he was coming over to take down for at least the last 8 months.... You guessed it - it is still standing and laughing at all of the other younger trees.

I have forgotten to tell you some really good news that happened during all of this. Monday afternoon I came back down here to see the doctor for my cold, and while I was here the opticians called to say my new lens was ready.
I have been having a tough time with my glasses for about three years. I guess I just didn't know what to tell the doctors. Well, I must have finally gotten it right. My new lens makes all the difference in the world to my vision. I am going to be able to cross stitch and read for more that 10 minutes at a time now.

As far as stitching is going, I spent most of Friday and today just getting my house back in order after the craziness. Laundry, refilling the frig and freezer, etc. I was able to spend some time in my craft room trying to organize things. I think I am about halfway there on that. I did get in about three hours over the two days on my BAP UFO, and that was good.

Tomorrow I have an all day board meeting with the acting company that I am involved with, so not much else will get done but that. Maybe some time in my craft room. Probably won't have enough brainpower left to stitch. LOL

Hope everyone has a great week ahead!

Goodness Beth....The ice is pretty, but I know it can be devastating also! Hate to see how much you have to clean up with the debris. Glad you have your "eyes" back too! happy stitching...
